HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: The Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) has several faculty who focus on health inequity in their research and in their teaching. YSPH offers several courses as part of the MPH degree curriculum that are devoted to social determinant, health disparities and health inequities. The Office of Community Health (OCH) a new entity within YSPH, was created to enhance practice based education, applied research and community health partnerships. OCH is working with faculty and students to identify ways that the school can be more engaged in the health equity movement both in the U. S. and on a global scale. As part of this effort, OCH is advocating and facilitating viewings of Unnatural Causes in multiple venues at Yale and follow-up discussions to consider actions that YSPH might take going forward.
