HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: Our office works to reduce health disparities across Texas by: Providing technical assistance to health and human services agencies to ensure that health disparities are addressed in services provided to increase capacity for improving health status. Providing internal and external partners leadership via collaborative development of health policies and programs that will eliminate health disparities. Promoting cultural competency, research, health literacy and evaluation of health promotion and disease prevention program activities.
