HEALTH EQUITY INITIATIVES: National Nursing Centers Consortium (NNCC) is an organization of health centers led by nurses that serve vulnerable urban, suburban, and rural communities throughout the country. Nurse-managed health centers are community-based, and many are located in public housing developments, schools, community centers, churches and homeless shelters. NNCC advocates on behalf of nurse-managed care, and takes the lead in developing innovative and replicable health promotion programs that help people lead healthier lives.
